This award is presented each spring to a senior who has demonstrated exceptional academic performance and promise in the field of Social Studies Education. Chase Ezell was named Outstanding Senior in Political Science. This award is presented each spring to a senior who has demonstrated exceptional academic performance and promise in the field of Political Science. Lauren Hill was named the Outstanding Senior in Pre-Law. This award is presented each spring to a senior who has demonstrated exceptional academic performance and promise in Pre-Law studies Faith Scott received the Outstanding Senior in Paralegal Studies award. This award is presented each spring to a senior who has demonstrated exceptional academic performance and promise in the field of Paralegal Studies. Will Grames is the Outstanding Senior in Administration of Justice. This award is presented each spring to a senior who has demonstrated exceptional academic performance and promise in the field of Administration of Justice Ellen Quinn received the Edward L. McMillan Award for Excellence in History. The McMillan Award is presented each spring to a senior who has demonstrated exceptional academic performance in the discipline of History. Noah Watson received the P.I. Lipsey, Jr. Award. The Lipsey Award is presented each spring to a senior who has demonstrated exceptional academic performance in courses related to European and/or ancient history. Joseph Gipson received the Phi Alpha Theta Award. This award is given to a first-year student who has demonstrated excellence in History classes.

Lassiter English Award is funded by the English full-time faculty to recognize senior transfer students majoring in English who embody the values and ideals of the English Department at Mississippi College.

Jordan award is given to the outstanding senior English Writing major. The award is given in honor of teachers who value the power of writing to give voice to students.

The Perry Academic Awards were established by Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Perry (Marion Walter Perry, '32 and Effie Elaine McDonald Perry, '33) for the purpose of recognizing scholastic achievement at Mississippi College. Academic Awards, in the form of gold medals, are awarded to seniors from the following majors: biological sciences, business administration and business education, including accounting, computer science, and marketing; chemistry; history; English; languages; mathematics; physics; arts and music; medical technology and nursing; education and psychology; kinesiology and interior design; communication; sociology and social work. Consideration for the awards is with emphasis on academic performance with all nominees having not less than a 3.5 grade point average. Academic excellence will receive 75% consideration and 25% for qualities of leadership, citizenship, creative ability, activities, and moral character. The 2023 recipients are Timothy Martin for Biology, Lauren Michelle Hill for Political Science, Gracie Lee for Communication, Makayla Cole for Nursing, Camryn Bruce for English Education, Brennen Jeremiah Moss for Mathematics, Zack Edward Myers for Electrical Engineering, and Johnathan Riley Carpenter for Christian Studies.

Conferred upon the senior students chosen for having made a significant contribution to student life of the college exemplifying the ideals of the founders of the College, and their successors, in quality of living, leadership, and service. It is named in memory of Dr. Charles W. Scott and Dr. Chester E. Swor. The 2023 recipients are Erin Hederman and Anna Jane Vancor.

The Jack B. Carmean Memorial Scholarship is a monetary award given annually to a Special Education major who, having completed their junior year, evidences potential for future contribution to the field of Special Education as demonstrated by scholastic achievement, leadership, and campus or community participation.

An annual monetary award established by the Jackson Field Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa in honor of Dr. Eugene I. Farr, a 1926 graduate of Mississippi College and Professor of Education from 1954 to 1961. Based on scholar- ship, research and leadership, the award is made to one or more men students of the senior class who are preparing for a teaching career.

This award is given to a senior who is minoring in TESOL and who has exhibited passion and experience for teaching English as a Second Language students.

A monetary award, funded by the Marion W. Effie McDonald Perry Foundation for Enriched Scholarships, given to the outstanding student who is planning a career in primary or secondary education. The student is to be selected during the junior year with the award to be used during the senior year.

This student must demonstrate high moral character and a professional commitment to teaching as recognized by the faculty of the School of Education.

This award is given to the elementary education student who rated the highest standard of achievements in student teaching, scholarship, personal qualities, educational ideals and contributions.
