Four Lady Choctaws Land on CoSIDA Academic All-District Team

- Seniors Lauren Kate Carter, Scarlett Hodges, Gabby Kayser and Katie Taylor have been named to the 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, it was announced on Thursday (Nov. 7).
Carter (Tupelo, Miss.) has posted a perfect 4.00 grade-point-average in Kinesiology and is planning on attending medical school. The four-year player has started 13-of-14 games with three goals scored and an assist, including the game-winner against Union.
Hodges (Madison, Miss.) has posted a 3.90 grade-point-average in Accounting. The three-year defensive starter has helped pace a defense that has allowed more than one goal just once this season, and has held three opponents to no shots on goal for an entire match.
Kayser (Troy, Ill.) has posted a 3.50 grade-point-average in Kinesiology. She has posted a 0.64 goals against average with six shutouts over a 13-1 season thus far for the Lady Choctaws.
Taylor (Tupelo, Miss.) has posted a 3.76 grade-point average in Interdisciplinary Studies. She leads the Gulf South Conference in goals per game, points per game and game-winning goals. She also ranks 2nd in assists, total goals and total points.
